The Dayton Bluffs Preserve is holding its fifth annual First Day Hike on New Year’s Day 2023. First Day Hikes are held in many parks throughout the country in an effort help people “start the year off on the right foot”. Begun in Massachusetts in 1992, the concept of a First Day Hike went the nationwide in 2012. Dayton Bluffs Preserve has held a First Day Hike since 2019.
Anyone can participate in the Dayton Bluffs event. The hikes will start at the Dayton Bluffs Preserve anytime between 8 AM and Noon. No reservations are needed.
Guided hikes will be available, but individual hiking is allowed. Bonfire will be maintained, and the first 60 participants will be treated to a cup of hot chocolate.
