Ottawa's Appellate Court building, built in 1860, is one of many in the area to be made out of Joliet limestone, along with a beautiful red brick compliment. There was a group of local men who were commissioned by the state to find a location for a new Supreme Court building. One member of this group was none other than William Reddick.
