Introducing our Farmers!
Wise Family Farms is run by Illana Larson. It was first bought by her grandfather and are now creating memories with her husband and son on the very land where her father grew up. The farm offers heirloom herbs, vegetables, and micro greens. They are a sustainable farm using no chemicals or toxins and sell weekly at the Ottawa Old Town Farmers Market

Don and Wendy Wenzel
Don and Wendy are dedicated to producing the finest quality apples and summer vegetable produce. They live, grow and sell on their third generation 100 acre farm. They grow 5 acres of 225 tree orchard with 6 different varieties of apples with their fresh garden produce. You can find their weekly schedule at www.donnieappleseedorchard.com.
Dennis and Ellen Zehr
Dennis Zehr and Ellen Davis-Zehr have been growing produce using organic methods at Coneflower Farm near Tiskilwa, IL for 29 years. Our children have been a very important part of the farm over the years, and various interns have been part of the farm team a number of growing seasons. Coneflower Farm grows about 50 different types of vegetables, melons and small fruits, as well as keeping dairy goats, laying hens, and occasionally steers. We sell through CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), at the Princeton Farmers’ Market, and by advance order from our farm.
Mike and Debra Hufendick
Hufendick Farms is a local family farm that sells Black Angus beef, Berkshire pork, free range chicken and turkey along with chicken and duck eggs. All livestock are raised on the farm. They sell at Ottawa, Oswego, and Plainfield farmers markets. They also just opened their storefront in downtown Plainfield, IL.
Salander Farm is a family operated farm outside of Mendota, IL. The Salander Farm provides fresh, locally grown produce to Farmer’s Markets in Mendota, Spring Valley, Ladd, and Dalzell. They also offer weekly produce delivery fresh from their farm to the Illinois Valley area.
Dan, Tim, Pat, and Richard Marquis
Mill Road Farms is a family run farm headed by Executive Chef Dan Marquis, along with his brother Tim Marquis. Their mother and father Pat and Richard Marquis help grow the farms organically grown produce to provide sustainable products for not only Chef Marquis, but also many other Chicago chefs to use in their menus as well. They believe that eating locally lends towards a healthier lifestyle, and strive to pass that on to their customers. They pride themselves on the attention to the detail in providing the best product- organic produce grown for local consumption.
