Saturday, October 16th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. join Prairie Fox Books in welcoming over 40 storytellers to Washington Park in downtown Ottawa. The day will kick off with a Literary Costume Parade, where kids of all ages, and pets, can come dressed as their favorite literary character, superhero, or anything creative, and walk through downtown Ottawa before heading back to the park to enjoy the festivities! Keynote speaker Michele Sullivan will be speaking at 10:30, Starved Rock Storyteller Bill Myers will be reading at 11:30, and Native American author Kim Sigafus will be presenting a cultural celebration of song, drums, and a Talking Feather craft at 1:00! Other presenters include NY Times best-selling authors Joelle Charbonneau and Lynn Cahoon.
Free face painting will be available from Art by April, the AAUW Used Book Sale will be in the park, and we will be joined by 5 mobile food vendors
